Community Guidelines
Rules and guidelines to ensure a fair, safe, and helpful community for all developers and testers.
Rules for Posting Games
Before you post your game, make sure it meets these requirements:
Free to Access
Your game must be free to download and play. Testers should not be required to pay or purchase anything to test your game.
No NSFW Content
Games with adult, explicit, or inappropriate content are not allowed. All content must be appropriate for a general audience.
Steam or Itch.io Only
Games must be available on Steam or Itch.io. Provide a valid link to your game's store page on one of these platforms.
Must Be Runnable
Test your game before posting! Ensure it runs properly, downloads work, and there are no critical bugs that prevent testing.
Ownership & Permission
You must own the game or have explicit permission to post it. Do not post games you don't have rights to.
Accurate Information
All game details must be accurate and truthful. Descriptions, genres, and media should match your actual game.
Rules for Creating Quests
Clear Objectives & Instructions
Be specific! Focus on one clear aspect of your game that can be tested. Provide step-by-step guidance telling testers exactly what to do, where to go, and what to look for. Clear instructions lead to better feedback. Vague or unclear quests waste everyone's time.
Meaningful Feedback Questions
Ask specific, actionable questions! Instead of yes/no questions, ask detailed questions that help you improve your game. For example, instead of "Did you like it?", ask "Was the combat responsive?" or "Did you understand how to use the inventory system?" The more specific your questions, the more useful the answers will be.
Rules for Testers
Provide Quality Feedback
Give honest, detailed, and constructive feedback. Be specific with examples. Helpful feedback helps developers improve their games and makes the community better for everyone.
Actually Play the Game
Don't submit feedback without actually playing the game. Spend the time needed to complete the quest objective. Fake or rushed feedback hurts developers and wastes resources.
Test Only What's Asked
Follow the quest instructions and test only what the developer has requested. Don't go beyond the scope unless it's necessary to complete the objective.
Don't Test Your Own Games
You cannot accept quests for games you created. The system automatically filters these out to ensure fair, unbiased feedback.
General Community Rules
Be Respectful
Treat all community members with respect. Constructive criticism is welcome, but be kind and helpful. Harassment, trolling, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Report Issues
If you encounter games that don't work, violate rules, or see inappropriate behavior, report it. Help keep the community safe and fair for everyone.
How the System Works
When you finish a quest, the person who made it looks at your feedback. If they like it, you get rewarded! This way, everyone only gets rewards for good work, and everyone only gives rewards for helpful feedback. It's fair for everyone!
It's Fair for Everyone!
Your quests won't go to waste! Here's how it works:
If you're testing a game:
You play the game and write your feedback. The person who made the quest looks at it. If they like your feedback, you get rewarded! If they think it's not helpful, they can ask an admin to look at it. The admin decides what's fair.
If you made a quest:
People play your game and write feedback. You look at each one. If you like it, you approve it and they get rewarded. If the feedback isn't helpful, you can ask an admin to look at it. This way, you only reward good feedback!
Everyone gets treated fairly. Good work gets rewarded. It's that simple!
What Happens If Rules Are Broken?
If you break the rules, you might get a warning or lose access for a while. We want everyone to play fair and be nice to each other!
If you have questions about the rules, just ask! We're here to help make this a fun place for everyone.
